Trump Gives Notice to the World, “I Am Always Going to Put America First”
President Trump is well-known for his “America First” agenda.
And he pushed that same agenda at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Da Nang, Vietnam.
Trump made a promise that he and his government will fight “chronic trade abuses” until the problem is no more.
The POTUS gave a blood-chilling speech at the summit in which he put the whole world on notice: “We are not going to let the United States be taken advantage of anymore.” Trump wants to completely eliminate “unfair trade practices” and he will stop at nothing to do so. The American commander in chief said, “While we lowered or ended tariffs, reduced trade barriers, other countries did not open their markets to us.” According to Trump “the current trade balance is not acceptable.” Also, our President used the golden opportunity to promote his “America First” economic agenda. While the crowd was cheering, Trump said, “I am always going to put America first, the same way that I expect all of you in this room to put your countries first.”
“Jobs, factories, and industries were stripped out of the United States and out of many countries in addition,” Trump stated. “And many opportunities for mutually beneficial investments were lost because people could not trust the system.”
Ever since Donald Trump came into office, he has been trying to open more and more workplaces for the citizens of America to have a steady and happy life.
Trump also mentioned China in his remarks. “I do not blame China or any other country, of which there are many, for taking advantage of the United States on trade,” he continued. “If their representatives are able to get away with it, they are just doing their jobs. As you know Trump is not happy with the work Obama has done for eight long years. So he wants to set the record straight.
“I wish previous administrations in my country saw what was happening and did something about it,” Donald Trump advanced. “They did not, but I will.” In the end, the presidential elect concluded, “From this day forward, we will compete on a fair and equal basis. We are not going to let the United States be taken advantage of anymore.”
