Former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly has predicted that the Biden administration is going to place him in prison for his most recent decision.
He appeared on Newsmax on Thursday with hosts Sean Spicer and Lyndsay Keith and said that his decision to publish his newest book, “Killing the Killers: The Secret War,” could find him in the slammer, The Daily Mail reported.
“That book is filled with classified information that nobody’s seen. I was lucky enough to be able to get it, I’ll probably wind up in prison for printing it,” he said.
O’Reilly and the hosts went on to discuss the war on terror, while O’Reilly claimed technological advancements made by the US in recent years would make it difficult to launch a large scale terror attack on US soil.
O’Reilly also cited the Patriot Act, a controversial act signed into law by President George W. Bush in 2001 which granted government and federal agencies increased surveillance powers to detect and prevent terror attacks, but seen by many as a way for the government to infringe on public privacy.
His book, co-written with American author Martin Dugard to be published in 2022, is set forth as a narration of ‘America’s intense global war against extremists who planned and executed not only the 9/11 attacks, but hundreds of others in America and around the world, and who eventually destroyed entire nations in their relentless quest for power’.
“Americans need to know that we are safer, and the reason is technology. So, the American government, apart from the politicians, has harnessed technology to make it very, very hard for ISIS, al-Qaeda — these people — to organize and attack on our soil,” he said.
“It can be done, but it’s hard to do. And with the listening devices and the Patriot Act still in place … [it’s] very, very difficult to do a large-scale terror attack in the USA,” he said.
A GoodReads preview of the book says, “As the World Trade Center buildings collapsed, the Pentagon burned, and a small group of passengers fought desperately to stop a third plane from completing its deadly flight plan, America went on war footing. Killing the Killers narrates America’s intense global war against extremists who planned and executed not only the 9/11 attacks but hundreds of others in America and around the world, and who eventually destroyed entire nations in their relentless quest for power,” it said.
“Killing the Killers moves from Afghanistan to Iraq, Iran to Yemen, Syria, and Libya, and elsewhere, as the United States fought Al Qaeda, ISIS, and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, as well as individually targeting the most notorious leaders of these groups. With fresh detail and deeply sourced information, O’Reilly and Dugard create an unstoppable account of the most important war of our era,” it said.
This news comes as O’Reilly and Donald Trump are preparing their “The History Tour: President Donald J Trump with Bill O’Reilly.”
“These will be wonderful but hard-hitting sessions where we’ll talk about the real problems happening in the U.S., those that the Fake News Media never mention,” Trump said of the tour . “I will be focusing on greatness for our Country, something seldom discussed in political dialogue. If we don’t make our Country great again, we will soon no longer have a Country! I look forward to working with Bill, who right now has the #1 bestselling book, to openly discuss the real problems of our Country, and how to solve them. Additionally, it will be fun, fun, fun, for everyone who attends!”
The tour is scheduled for Dec. 11 at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida, Dec. 12 at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, Dec. 18 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, Dec. 19 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.
