Vice President Kamala Harris has made a habit out of beclowning herself whenever she makes an appearance, even when that appearance is overseas.

It happened again this week when she appeared in France and donned a faux French accident which fell flat with the audience, Fox News reported.

Vice President Kamala Harris went viral following her visit to a COVID-19 lab in Paris for appearing to use what critics described as a “French accent.”

During her overseas trip to France, Harris toured the Institut Pasteur and spoke alongside a group of scientists about the U.S.-France alliance on scientific research.

She also made comments about how politicians should operate more like scientists. Harris then pivoted to what politicians do, mocking how they always stick to “The Plan” they campaigned on — but repeatedly appeared to change her dialect whenever she used that phrase.

“In government, we campaign with ‘The Plan,’” she said as she began to use her fake French accent. “Uppercase T, uppercase P, ‘The Plan!’ And then the environment is such we’re expected to defend ‘The Plan’ even when the first time we roll it out there may be some glitches and it’s time to reevaluate and then do it again.”

Harris was heavily mocked for her “cultural appropriation” of the accent.

“The clip from Vice President Harris is just it’s more than embarrassing on the world stage … Our adversaries watch that and see weakness. They see people who aren’t serious, they see people who aren’t determined precisely the opposite of what we did for four years. It feels a lot more like the Carter administration in terms of how they view America as a danger to the world and apologize everywhere they go,” former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said during an appearance on the Fox News show “Hannity.”

“We need to get serious. You just trip through the Russians, the Chinese, the North Koreans, the Iranians. You just trip through all of our adversaries. These adversaries can see that we’re focused on diversity inclusion in our military. We’re focused on trying to fly our jets with green energy, and they’re focused on how to build out a military that can undo our republic. We need an administration that is serious about putting America first, not America last, as they seem to have done. Prioritizing climate change as America’s most significant national security threat is an enormous mistake,” he said.

But she was also mocked on Twitter.

“Kamala Harris is making a fool of herself in France, talking to folks in some fake French accent. Rumor has it that she even said ‘I know some French, ‘Lady Marmalade’ is my theme song,’” Republican Congressional candidate Lavern Spicer said.

“Kamala Harris appeared to be struggling with behaving like an authentic human being again after she adopted a bizarre fake French accent while speaking to scientists at a COVID lab in Paris,” political commentator Paul Joseph Watson said.

“Recently, I noticed Harris using a fake Southern accent while she campaigned for McAwful in Virginia. Video just emerged of Harris using a fake French accent in Paris. Everything these people say and do is FAKE!” another Twitter user said.

“Why does she do this? She talks with a godawful Georgia accent when she’s in the South, too, for no reason at all except to make me cringe,” another said.

“Cackling VP Kamala Harris in Paris for US-France Fence-Mending Trip— LOL She has kicked off a four-day visit to Paris & charm offensive aimed at shoring up relations with France, America’s oldest ally. Well mocking the French accent keeps saying ‘de plan’ isn’t going to cut it!” another said.
