NBC News anchor Chuck Todd has delivered some devastating news to President Joe Biden and it could spell doom for the Democrat Party.

“We have a brand new NBC news poll out this morning still with some scary news for the Democrats. The overarching message, Americans have lost their confidence in President Joe Biden and their optimism for the country. At least they have right now. Just 22% of adults say we are headed in the right direction. A shocking 71% say we’re on the wrong track and that includes a near majority of Democrats who are saying that,” he said.

“President Biden’s approval rating stands at a dismal 42% versus 54% who disapprove. Believe it or not, just two months ago Mr. Biden was in positive territory, 49 approving. So what’s pulling down the president’s numbers? Look at this set of numbers, just 37% say he has the ability to handle a crisis versus a majority who say he does not. Thirty-seven percent also say he’s competent and effective as president. 50% disagree with that description. What’s more, Republicans, believe it or not, have double-digit leads in dealing with border security, inflation, crime, national security, the economy, and, shockingly, on getting things done. Democrats hold generally smaller double-digit leads on dealing with climate change, the coronavirus, education, and abortion. That’s really it right now,” he said.

It follows a string of bad polls for Democrats who have been facing dismal numbers as the 2022 midterm elections approach.

After ruling the Democrat Party for decades, including two stints as the Speaker of the House and California Rep. Nancy Pelosi could be ending her career as one of, if not the most, unpopular politicians in the nation, Breitbart News reported.

The leader of congressional Democrats has dropped double digits in approval rating since February per the latest National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) battleground survey results, a whole new low for Pelosi that further complicates Democrats’ efforts to pass President Joe Biden’s agenda and save their majorities in the U.S. House and Senate next year.

The results, obtained by Breitbart News, show that Pelosi has fallen to just a 36 percent approval rating across congressional battleground districts—with a solid majority of 57 percent of Americans disapproving of her performance. This October battleground poll, therefore, means she is 21 points underwater—a full 10 percent worse than she was in the NRCC’s February survey, when Pelosi was just 11 percent underwater.

“It is impressive that the least popular politician in the country has somehow managed to become even more unpopular,” Mike Berg, a spokesmanfor the NRCC, said to Breitbart News. “We are going to ensure voters know that Nancy Pelosi is the running mate for every vulnerable Democrat who backed her for Speaker of the House.”

With a razor-thin majority in the House, Pelosi’s unpopularity could be an anchor around the Democrat Party in the 2022 midterm elections and further shrink their presence in the House of Representatives enough to give Republicans the majority.

And weeks ago, as Biden’s numbers were continuing to fall, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki blamed his poll numbers on unvaccinated Americans.

“The President has very tough approval ratings these days,” a reporter said. “What do you make of these really terrible polls? Are they that he’s doing something wrong? Is it just the communication? Or is it he’s doing unpopular things that have to be done? Or something else?”

“Well, look, I would say that this is a really tough time in our country. We’re still battling COVID, and a lot of people thought we’d be through it, including us,” Psaki began. “And we — because of the rise of the Delta variant, because of the fact that even though it was a vaccine that was approved under a Republican administration, even though we now have full FDA approval, and even though it’s widely available across the country, we still have a quarter of the country who have — less than that — 20 percent of the country who’ve decided not to get vaccinated.
